How to Migrate to Oracle Solaris 11 with Live Install
This is the quickest way to upgrade to your Oracle Solaris 10 system to Oracle Solaris 11. Install a golden copy of Solaris 11 on a different system. Copy that image to an unused disk on your Solaris 10 system. Then reboot your Solaris 10 system as a Solaris 11 system. Solaris 11 uses the configuration from your original Solaris 10 system. Harold Shaw explains how.
